Do you want to spark social change in your community?
Poverty Simulation is a 3-hour transformative, role-playing experience that demonstrates what life is like during a given month for families experiencing poverty.
During these simulations, participants examine poverty through a different lens and discover biases, explore barriers in their community, and discuss solutions.
Sign up individually or register as a group.
Poverty Simulation is ideal for:
Anybody who interacts with our neighbors experiencing poverty.
Those wanting to change our community for the better.
Curious and inquisitive community members with a passion for growing in understanding.
Those who serve the community in a business, non-profit, or public service capacity.
Poverty Simulation is offered at no cost as a partnership between Second Harvest Food Bank and Shafer Leadership Academy.
