FALL PROGRAM:

A Human Library® is an event that creates a safe place for serious conversations about often difficult and perhaps sensitive topics and allows us to examine our own conscious or unconscious bias. At the Human Library®, our Books are people who are on loan to Readers (YOU!). Books have life experiences that reflect stereotyping, and bias in our society and are ready to not just tell a story but to engage in a conversation with you.  Every Book on our Bookshelf has experienced stereotyping, stigma or challenges due to the lifestyle, profession, diagnosis, belief, disability, or social status. to name a few. During this Human Library event, participants will have the opportunity to read books with these titles: Asian American, Activist, Child of Alcoholic, Transgender, Suicide Survivor, Child of Disabled Parent.
