Stop pretending you can’t give direct feedback. Far too often, we hide behind performance check lists, limiting feedback to more generalizations. This means that we don’t build relationships with our team with maximizing potential in mind. The result is a lack of candid, direct communication between two people not only limits the development, but also prevents the organization from improving.
