Tech Tips & More: Facilitating Virtually for Shafer Leadership Academy

Special VIRTUAL program

This is a special session is for current 2021 facilitators and those interested in facilitating virtually with Shafer Leadership Academy in 2022 and beyond. Virtual is here to stay and SLA will continue to offer virtual workshops along with in-person in 2022. We are offering this as an opportunity for facilitators to learn how to create and further their knowledge of dynamic and engaging workshops in the virtual space. This workshop will allow you to move forward confidently as you prepare your SLA Workshop now and in the future.

Note: anyone who has an interest in this workshop is welcome to attend whether they would like to facilitate with Shafer Leadership Academy or not. Let’s learn together!

Learning Outcomes:

1. Learn how to most effectively prepare your virtual workshop and what to expect
2. Discover and utilize unique technology tools to create an engaging virtual presentation
3. Discuss virtual facilitation best practices and techniques with peers

About Our CO-FacilitatorS

Eilis (A-lish) Wasserman is a virtual facilitator and coach focused on cultivating confidence and inspiring self-discovery. Eilis recently worked at the Ball State University Career Center, The University of Michigan, and The Muse as a Career Coach and currently has her own career coaching business, Introvert Career Coach, LLC. You may have seen Eilis acting as a digital producer for one of Shafer’s recent virtual program offerings. She currently serves as Shafer Leadership Academy’s Virtual Program Manager where she coordinates virtual programming guiding facilitators to present their best selves.

Chase Stewart is a current Ball State Graduate Student studying Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education. This semester he serves as a practicum student for Shafer Leadership Academy working with technology tech tips and assessment.
