Leading From Anywhere: Strategies for Leading Up and Across is a dynamic and interactive workshop designed to empower individuals to excel in leadership roles regardless of their position within an organization. Participants will learn essential strategies for effectively leading their peers and superiors, fostering collaboration, and driving success from any level. Join us to learn practical insights and unlock your potential to lead with impact, no matter where you are in the hierarchy. 

Learning Objectives

1. Understand the concept of leading up and across within an organization and in day-to-day activities.
2. Develop strategies for building effective relationships with supervisors and colleagues at various levels.
3. Develop a personal action plan for implementing leading up and across strategies in your own professional context.

Cost: Free for SLA Members. $80 non-member. $60 nonprofits.

Individuals who are either unemployed or connected with an employer who is unable to pay can request scholarships for any of our programs.

About Our Facilitator

Lisa Kress graduated from IUPUI with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and then continued her education by earning an MBA at Indiana Wesleyan University. Lisa worked in community mental health for over ten years, then changing to leadership development and is now teaching middle school language arts. Lisa enjoys being outside and spending time at the lake. When Lisa isn’t working you can find her with her two children and husband or coaching swimming.
