August 21, 2014 – Muncie, IN – Shafer Leadership Academy, East Central Indiana’s nonprofit leadership development institute, will present the leadership program Propel: Leading a Group from Vision to Action on September 10, 2014 from 8:00am to 4:30pm at the Innovation Connector in Muncie, Indiana.
Propel provides insight on how leaders can facilitate more effective and efficient results from the teams they lead. Twenty-first Century leaders must help groups get work done with greater challenges and fewer resources. The workshop is ideal for individuals who lead or participate in any sort of group within a business, not-for-profit organization, governmental agency, civic group, or community. Each participant will take away from this experience an understanding of personal credibility, methods on how to generate creative solutions for a group vision, insight on planning, prioritizing and executing group priorities; plus concepts on how to involve and develop team members while ensuring the personal ownership necessary of effective outcomes. In addition, participants will develop a personalized action plan with strategies on analyzing and evaluating project results.
Mary Jo Clark and Pat Heiny of Contemporary Consulting will facilitate Propel. They have extensive experience in leadership development for organizations, corporations and communities throughout the country. “Pat and Mary Jo are highly regarded by Shafer Leadership Academy Alumni for their expertise and engaging style that delivers insights participants can apply immediately within their areas of influence,” stated Richard Crist, Executive Director.
The registration deadline for Propel: Leading a Group from Vision to Action is Friday, September 5, 2014. Standard tuition for the workshop is $150.00 and just $125.00 for Shafer Leadership Academy Alumni and groups of three or more from one organization.
