About Our Facilitator

Dr. Beth Trammell is an experienced clinician who has worked with kids and families for over 15 years in a variety of settings. She has worked in private practice and school-based settings, as well as behavioral and mental health consultation for schools, community-centers and daycare. She engages parents and teachers in the community through online and community-based offerings including: Make Words Matter foundational series, having hard conversations with kids, Making words matter about race, and online book studies about the power of allowing kids to fail.

In her numerous other roles, she has extensive experience in working with severe emotional-behavioral disorders, including children with autism spectrum disorders. She is the Director of the MA in Mental Health Counseling program and an Associate Professor of Psychology at Indiana University East where she has conducted research over the last 7 years to examine a cost-effective model for parent training in an outpatient setting. She has presented her research and clinical findings at regional, national and international conferences.
