The Power of the Pause
The “pause” is the most powerful communication tool, yet it is the one we use the least. Simply put, the “pause” is the few moments of silence between listening and talking. However, there is nothing simple about finding that time and using it to its fullest. During this session, we’ll dive in to the reason for the “pause”, learn how to find your “pause”, and give your “pause” the power to stop conflict in its tracks.
Practice comprehension in communication – make sure everyone in the conversation is clear on what is being requested.
Find comfort in the silence – learn how to be confident when no one is speaking and avoid filling the quiet gap too quickly.
Respond to take action – use your response to set expectations and follow up to moved action forward.
