Stop pretending you can’t give direct feedback.
Far too often, we hide behind performance check lists, limiting feedback to more generalizations. This means that we don’t build relationships with our team with maximizing potential in mind. The result is a lack of candid, direct communication between two people not only limits the development, but also prevents the organization from improving.
- Learn how to build relationships to allow for direct feedback
- Understand the steps of creating an environment and culture that is radically candid
- Create strategies for asking for feedback from your boss, and also from someone who reports to you
- Walk away knowing what to do with the feedback that is provided, and where you go next
